January Went Fast

Well, January was a decent month. We had some more visits, frequent stayers the Doerksens stopped in on both legs of their BC trip, Tuna was over for several days again, and we were graced with the presence of Hoos as well. During Tuna's visit, of course, his Patriots lost to our Colts, which was good, for once! Concerned friends will be pleased to know that both sides were very amicable during the fretful 3 hours of competition.

Besides this we simply had the usual hanging around and working. Above you'll see Brady with his playdoh bears. Some of you (ahem, Jen) will be pleased to know that Brady lines them up on his own like this every time. Very orderly. Actually they were all standing up before the shot was taken.
We already shared some photos from our Museum trip while we were in Spruce Grove, but here's one of the boys watching a snake. Jon was sure it was fake, but the boys insisted it was real and watched it forever until, sure enough, it moved. They were delighted. Jon was mildly amused. Below is a shot of the boys guzzling down their soup. They love soup. Elijah is wearing a hat from preschool.

And the remaining photos are some endearing moments of the boys sleeping on us. These cuddly times already happen less and less, and the boys aren't even close to adolescence yet. So these were nice moments. Elijah fell asleep watching he and Daddy's Coldplay video, and Brady fell asleep because he was tired and under the weather.

I was indeed curious/concerned about the state of affairs during the Colts/Patriots game, which I assumed Jon & Tuna would be watching together. Glad to hear it didn't end in fist-to-cuffs. (Is that how you spell that phrase? That's how I've always said it...wierd.)

I LOVE that Brady has a lining up fetish!!! He's another child that proves some of us are just born needing all our ducks in a row. Or bears. Great playdough mould too! I want to play with those bears. =) Thanks for the January update. It's fun to see glimpses.

These pictures are breaking my heart. (In a good, I wish I was there kinda way)

You can add Aaron Gerrard to the Jen and Brady club of those who would rather organize their toys than play with them. Does this mean Brady will grow up to be highly organized and anal? I don't know if Jen is but Gerrard sure is.

I think it's fist-o-cuffs. Don't know why though.

I always spelt it fist-a-cuffs in my head, but the alternate spellings are intriguing to me.

Gerrard? That's funny.

Here it is from dictionary.com:

fist·i·cuff /ˈfɪstɪˌkʌf/[fis-ti-kuhf]

–noun
1. a cuff or blow with the fist.
2. fisticuffs, combat with the fists.

–verb (used with object), verb (used without object)
3. to strike or fight with the fists.

I believe there are some who would classify me as highly organized and anal... I can sense in Gerrard the same love for organizing as opposed to doing. =) I'm not surprised.

Fisticuffs- all one word, even. Who knew? Thanks Dave for your footwork. I'm glad to have had a part in organizing that solution instead of doing it.

Jen =)
